The seven provinces of the Pays Basque have a wealth of traditions that are kept alive in unique towns and villages dotted throughout the Basque country. ‘Euskara’ is the basque language and we will be delighted to introduce you to it during your stay. If you decide to venture a little further inland, you could visit villages like Ainhoa or Saint Pée sur Nivelle, or explore the caves at Zugaramurdi, Sare or Isturitz and Oxcelaya. For a taste of the region, we would be delighted to recommend some farms in the Urrugne area where you can taste local produce. A trip to Espelette is a must if you want to stock up on all sorts of pepper products.
