1. locate the campsite suhiberry :

Where is the campsite located?

The campsite is located close to the sea between the towns of Saint-Jean-de-Luz/Ciboure and Hendaye. You can reach the campsite by a small road (1575 route de Socoa), 2km from the freeway exit (exit n°2 Saint-Jean-de-Luz Sud), in Urrugne (64122).

How far is the campsite from the beaches?

The nearest beaches are those of Socoa at 1,6km and Saint-Jean-de-Luz at 3km only from the campsite. The beach of Hendaye is 7 km away.

How far from the nearest shops?

The nearest shops are 600 m from the campsite with a bakery, restaurants, chocolate workshop, Lidl supermarket, Briconaute store and beach shuttle… The nearest shopping center is Leclerc at only 2km from the campsite. The duty free stores and small supermarkets of the Ibardin pass are located 5km away towards the roundabout of Urrugne (the town), then towards Olhette, the last district of Urrugne before the village of Ascain.

How far from the bike paths?

At 600 m from the campsite, you have access to a bicycle and pedestrian path that runs along the river Untxin and leads you to the beach of Socoa (1.6 km). From there, you join the bicycle and pedestrian path which overhangs the bay of Socoa-Ciboure-Saint Jean de Luz (3km from the campsite in Saint Jean de Luz). It’s an easy outing and ideal for families because the little ones can keep up; it’s one of the few places in the Basque country where it’s flat! So go to the surrounding markets without taking the car. The pedestrian way is also very pleasant.

At what time can we take possession of the rental?

Arrivals are possible from 4pm and departures before 10am.

What are the possible arrival days?

In low season the days of arrival are free. In July and August our rentals are possible from Saturday to Saturday.

Do you rent for one night in low season?

No. The rental is for 2 nights minimum (except July-August).

How can we book?

You can make your reservation directly online by clicking on the “I reserve” tab. You will then indicate your accommodation model, the dates of your stay and your contact information before paying the deposit by credit card.

When do I have to pay the balance of the stay?

The balance must be paid 30 days before your arrival for any reservation in rental and the day of your arrival for the reservation of a campsite. For any reservation of rental accommodation made less than 30 days before arrival, the total amount of the balance is required. You will then receive a confirmation from our team by e-mail. For the campsite, the balance is required on the day of your arrival.

Is there a deposit to give?

The deposit for the accommodation is 300€. It can be made in the form of a bank imprint or by check. It may be partially or totally cashed in case of damage caused to the accommodation, a shortage or to be used to charge the cleaning fee (see current rates).

Do you accept vacation vouchers?

Yes, the Pays Basque campsite accepts vacation vouchers, either for the payment of the deposit or for the balance of the stay. We advise you to send them by registered mail.

Is the animal (dog and cat) accepted?

Our friends the animals are allowed only in campsite. They must be tattooed, be up to date with their vaccinations and have their health record up to date. Under no circumstances may they be left alone in the campsite or rental accommodation in the absence of their master and must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs classified as 1st and 2nd category are not allowed in the campsite in general.

Can I choose my site or rental number?

If you have been to the campsite before and know a specific pitch number then yes you can ask us and we will do our best to assign it to you.

How are the locations arranged?

The pitches are located on terraced paths from the bottom to the top of the campsite, giving an airy, unoverlooked feeling. They are delimited by numbered markers and hedges.

What type of electrical connection is there for campsites?

Our electrical terminals are made for the most part of European female plugs and for others of French plugs. We therefore advise you to use a European adapter (male plug).

Do I need an extension cord?

Our electricity terminals are collective and group several locations, so it is preferable to bring an extension cord of about 25 meters.

What type of equipment can be installed on the sites?

Several cases are possible: > 2 bedroom family tent > Caravan with awning > Camper van In all these cases, a small tent 2 places on the site can be added if necessary and no supplement will be charged. We simply ask you to mention it on the contract at the time of booking or in the “campsite equipment” field when booking online.

5. QUESTIONS DIVERSES :

What are the opening hours of the campsite?

Outside of July and August, the campsite is open 7 days a week, from 9am to 12:30pm and from 1:30pm to 7:30pm. In July and August, the office is open 7 days a week from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm.

Is there a laundry at the campsite?

Yes, the campsite has a laundry with washing and drying machines and an ironing board. The washing costs 5€ and the drying 4€, payable in cash or card, via the self-service terminal. You can also borrow an iron from the reception.

Is the pool supervised?

the pool is not supervised, even in July and August. It is therefore the responsibility of parents to their children. More info on the page campsite Pays Basque with swimming pool.

Are barbecues allowed?

Yes, gas and charcoal barbecues are tolerated at the campsite. Enjoy a collective barbecue near a large sheltered area with picnic tables at your disposal. The charcoal compartment must be emptied and cleaned as well as the grate that we provide. This friendly place will be ready for others to use after you. CAUTION: > We ask you to remain very vigilant until the embers are completely extinguished. > Electric barbecues or plancha are not recommended as they can disable the electricity terminals.

Is there a grocery store in your campsite in the Basque Country?

No. The nearest grocery store is located 600m away in the center of the village. The nearest supermarket is also 600m away.
