The latter, which dominates the village, offers a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees and the ocean, a haven of peace in the heart of the countryside.
Urrugne is also known for its “venta” (border stores between Urrugne and the Navarrese village of Bera de Bidasoa) at the top of a mountain in the middle of nature, which delight holidaymakers with the low prices of food products, perfumes, drinks… and typical Basque restaurants. You can reach it by car through the pass or on foot, by bike and even on horseback through the trails in the middle of the forests around the Xoldokogaina lake.
